Terms of service

These terms cover use of WordTry’s free browser game, guides, and historical answer archive.

Using WordTry

You may play the game, share puzzle links and result grids, and read the site’s articles for personal, non-abusive use. Do not attack the service, distribute malicious code, scrape it in a way that impairs availability, or misrepresent WordTry as your product.

No account or purchase required

The current WordTry experience does not require an account or payment. Progress is stored locally in your browser and may be lost if you clear site data, change browsers, or use another device.

Content and trademarks

WordTry’s original code, writing, branding, and graphics are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. WordTry is independent and is not affiliated with The New York Times or Wordle. Third-party names and trademarks remain the property of their owners.

Availability and accuracy

The service is provided “as is” and may change or be unavailable. We try to keep articles, translations, puzzle metadata, and historical answers accurate, but do not guarantee that every item is error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, WordTry is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the free service or loss of locally stored progress. These terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be limited.
